I love music. I spend all day thinking about music, about listening to music or playing music or learning about music. I've been learning ot play guitar for around 3 years now. I have an all black standard series HSS stratocaster. I am pretty bad at guitar for how long I've been playing since I am self taught and have just focused on learning songs but more recently I have been learning scales and how to jam, which is very fun. I know some people have very regimented practice regimes with excersises, high bpm, low bpm stuff like that. That's cool but I like to have fun when playing guitar, in my 3 years of playing I have never had to force myself to practice, I have always wanted to. If I have to be a worse guitarist to have that luxury then so be it. (note: add strat pic)
I have also been learning drums off and on for a while but now I'm taking lessons and improving much quicker. I tried to teach myself drums but they are so precise that it was very difficult to learn technique on my own. I'm still pretty bad but there are some songs i can do alright. I'm learning bounces right now but they are sooooo hard to get right, my left hand is holding me back! I try and get some practice in every day, I can't wait until I can just play.
These guys are one of my favorite bands right now, they're a six (used to be 7) man band from Australia. They have 27 studio albums but I've only heard 19 so far. They do a ton of different genres but I always get a sense they truly care about their music and the art of music itself. Very psychedelic, very fun. Some of my favorite albums from them are:
You're on neocities, you've at least heard of Radiohead. I'm a big fan of all their work but In rainbows is definately my favorite. In my opinion (as everything on this page is), it is their most mature, consise and developed album. The album is paced so well and the songs are so beautiful. I highly reccomend listening to this album but maybe not as the first radiohead album you listen to. If you really wanna get into them you should listen to The Bends first, then Ok Computer, Then probably Kid A and then this one. Of course you can do whatever you want but this album is even better with the context of their other work.
You've also almost definately heard of Aphex Twin. People have a lot of different favorite Aphex Twin albums, some people love SAW 1, some like the Richard D James album, some of my friends think Come to Daddy is the best for some reason (like its good its only like 30 minutes long and 3 of the songs just aren't that good. Shoutout To Cure a Weakling Child (Contour Regard) though, underrated song.). For me Drukqs is my favorite, it just has so many different styles and feelings within it. Like In Rainbows, it feels very mature and like the natural conclusion of their discography (not that is should be). I
